Bella Union was personally asked by Van Dyke Parks for me to design and art direct his next album release. A complete honour! The album is a limited edition released as a 12" LP on Record Store Day 2013 in the UK, and will be on general release in Japan and the United States of American in the coming months. The album is titled, Super Chief "Music for the Silver Screen", and is a 30 track release, comprising of instrumental scores that Van Dyke has written and composed . The inlay of the LP includes Van Dykes experience and thoughts about the famous Super Chief train that took him to Hollywood. It has been an absolute pleasure to realise and art direct the album cover for Van Dyke and his music. Keep your eyes peeled for it in a local record store. Secret 7’’ combines music and art for a good cause. The secret part to the exhibition is that people don't know who created the sleeve, or even which song the artist has designed for until they have parted with payment – the secret lies within! Secret 7" takes seven tracks from seven of the best-known bands and artists around. Pressing each of those tracks 100 times to vinyl, then getting creatives from around the world to interpret artwork in their own style for one of the 7 tracks; resulting in a one-of-a-kind sleeve.
